Zhang Zhongjing College of Chinese Medicine (ZCCM), named after Zhang Zhongjing (circa 150-219), a well-known precursor in Chinese medicine, was established in 1985 and integrated into Nanyang Institute of Technology in 1993. ZCCM is now a comprehensive sub-school of undergraduate education with a variety of studies including Chinese medicine, Chinese integrative medicine, acupuncture and massage, Chinese pharmacology and nursing science.
    ZCCM features in studying and carrying forward Zhang Zhongjing’s medical thought. The teaching and research units of ZCCM include department of basic medicine, department of clinical medicine, department of nursing science, department of multi-subjects,medical experimental center, Zhang Zhongjing medicinal botanical garden, Zhang Zhongjing museum of Chinese medical history and Zhang Zhongjing institute of Chinese medicine. ZCCM has three affiliated hospitals  and twenty-three contracted teaching hospitals for clinical practice.  It has a faculty team at high academic level to help students to achieve their education goal at ZCCM.Three thousand students are now enrolled full-time in ZCCM.
    The faculty members of ZCCM have made many research achievements recent years in  Zhang Zhongjing’s medical thought, literature on Zhang Zhongjing and the development of Zhang Zhongjing’s prescriptions for today. And a series of other projects concerning teaching and research have been completed and some of them were awarded by the authorities at national, provincial and prefectural levels.
    ZCCM has in recent years made efforts to expand its communication and cooperation with educational institutes, research institutes and medical organizations at home and abroad. ZCCＭ　is now cooperating with several famous universities of Chinese medicine in postgraduate education. ZCCM also admits international students and welcomes visiting scholars. Now lots of oversea students are studying in the college.
    Under the guidance of school motto “Stressing Virtues, Valuing Erudition, Pursuing Truth , Perfecting Goodness ”, ZCCM is devoted to building a medical college of high quality to make contribution to alleviating human sufferings caused by diseases and enhancing human health!
